Thanksgiving is on its way and students go nuts over turkey and holiday coloring. Assess your student’s skills with this engaging writing and speech ‘craftivity’!
Believe me, I know November gets crazy and this year is no different for teachers and educators. Use this Thanksgiving craft to take some pressure off of you. It is super easy to get the kids started and requires almost no preparation work. Use it as an easy and flexible fall activity over the next few weeks and get excited about Thanksgiving!
What’s included in the Turkey Writing Craft:
With the digital download, you’ll get multiple versions that you can print out on white paper and cut out.
- Parts of Speech – Create Your Own will have 5 different parts of speech labeled on the turkey feathers
- Noun turkey (with 1 noun example on each feather & room to write more under)
- Verb turkey
- Adjective turkey
- Pronoun turkey
- Adverb turkey
Students will receive a list of 60+ words that they can cut and glue or write in on the appropriate feather!
This awesome speech practice can be used as a group activity, at-home assignment, in-person independent work, as a Thanksgiving party activity, or as a bulletin board display! Kids love a turkey coloring activity and this is a great one for this holiday season!
